Hi there TwentyFeet users,

Some of you got in touch with us asking if we are experiencing issues with our plattform due to missing data from June 29th onwards.

There are two reasons that are coming together in causing the situation. Our systems is running on Amazon Web Services and Amazon had several power outages and other issues over the weekend. Therefore our data gathering process was interrupted.

On the other hand we are currently looking into heavy loads that are causing delays in data generation for the last two days. The reason for the heavy loads can be found in the sending of the “My week on Twitter” post on Monday and Tuesday and the enormous response by new users signing up for our plattform.

We have no intention in upsetting our users having them wait on data. We are currently working on a solution to send “My week on Twitter” posts throughout the week to reduce load accordingly. Hopefully we will be able to deploy the release next Wednesday. We totally understand your need for a change here and would kindly ask you to bear with us.

Dear TwentyFeet users,

as we are sending out congrats to bitly for their marvelous new website, we unfortunately have to announce that our data gathering process has been interrupted. Back in the day, before bitly introduced their API, we started to gather data another way. As one says “Never change a running system!”, this used to work out pretty well. Now we are looking into making some changes to how we continue this process. Please give us a few days to assess the situation and to come up with a solution. We are very sorry that we are not able to provide you with bitly-data in the meantime. Please bear with us as we will keep you updated.
