Hi folks,
We’ve just released a new version of TwentyFeet and would like to share the changes with you.
Various performance improvements
Performance Post (“My week on Twitter”)
Until today we were sending all of the Performance Posts on Monday and Tuesday causing heavy loads on our system by new users signing up for our service. We are very happy to welcome all of those new users and would like to give them and our existing users the performance they need to track their Social Media profiles. To get closer to this goal, we are now sending our Performance Post “My week on Twitter” Monday thru Tuesday and Thursday thru Sunday leaving a deployment slot on Wednesday. Once you are preassigned to a specific weekday, you’ll continue to receive the post on this particular day.
Proxy server for static content
With the deployment of the new release we are delivering all of TwentyFeet’s static content via an Amazon Web Services proxy server. Since these systems are distributed all over the world, the content will be brought to you even faster.
Facebook authorization changes
Starting July 5th, 2012 Facebook changed its authorization process. Until then only one initial authorization was required to enable data gathering from Facebook without a time limit. With the changes made on Facebook’s side a renewal of your access authorization is required every 60 days. This requires a manual re-authorization carried out by the user to continue tracking Facebook stats within TwentyFeet. You will find more information on this topic here:

Facebook Pages Insights
In February, Facebook discontinued some of there API-variables. Unfortunately we were developing for a client at this time and weren’t able to make the changes immediately. This led to missing data for a larger number of variables for Facebook Pages. Therefore we would like to say sorry for any inconvenience!
Based on our analysis and users feedback on the most preferred Insights we’ve integrated new Insights. For some of the existing variables we could find an equivalent replacement (Monthly engaged users, Fans – Age and gender). Others were introduced to top off the number of useful variables (Reach for posts, unique visitors, reach organic, viral and paid, numbers of stories about your page pointing out the number of shares, mentions, likes, checkins and many more, external referrers). Before deploying the new Isights we asked Pages users with data before February 12th. to export their data in advance. We hope you’ll like the changes and are looking forward to your feedback.
Custom date range
If you were trying to present your data selecting a custom data range in January you most certainly ran into the situation that the last week was shown. With this release we’ve fixed this bug. Furthermore we’ve fixed an issue not allowing to export a custom data range.
If you have further questions or feedback feel free to get in touch with us. We are looking forward getting to know your needs and wishes.
Thanks,
Your TwentyFeet-Teamjgrabo

Hi there TwentyFeet users,
Some of you got in touch with us asking if we are experiencing issues with our plattform due to missing data from June 29th onwards.
There are two reasons that are coming together in causing the situation. Our systems is running on Amazon Web Services and Amazon had several power outages and other issues over the weekend. Therefore our data gathering process was interrupted.
On the other hand we are currently looking into heavy loads that are causing delays in data generation for the last two days. The reason for the heavy loads can be found in the sending of the “My week on Twitter” post on Monday and Tuesday and the enormous response by new users signing up for our plattform.
We have no intention in upsetting our users having them wait on data. We are currently working on a solution to send “My week on Twitter” posts throughout the week to reduce load accordingly. Hopefully we will be able to deploy the release next Wednesday. We totally understand your need for a change here and would kindly ask you to bear with us.
Thanks you very much for your understanding. If you have further questions please don’t hesitate to let us know. We are open to your feedback.
Best regards,
Jost Grabo
